This work started with the meeting of two choreographs from two different european countries : Saskia Hölbling from Austria and Fabrice Ramalingom from France.
Both choreographers have developed their own dance projects in their respective countries, managing two companies : DANS.KIAS for Saskia and R.A.M.a for Fabrice.
In their artistic practices, they attempt to invent projects or devices that allow them to feel the notion of circulation. Circulation of knowledge, circulation of people and circulation of performances. As well as the fact they love to develop their own choreographic writing in their own aesthetic, they don’t hesitate to associate and to confront other artists in collaborations with or outside their projects. This is how Saskia and Fabrice met in 2006, as the time of the creation of «Lugares Comunes» of Benoit Lachambre. They understood at once that they shared a common dance movement coming from «release» technique, contact dance, improvisation and an need for a certain physicality in the dance movement. A collaboration was obvious. They decided today to finalize in creating a duo.
